Consider the following scenario:You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2003.You apply security update 2478960, which is documented in security bulletin MS11-014.In this scenario, some third-party applications or services encounter an authentication failure. For example, some third-party server message block (SMB) clients encounter an authentication failure. This issue occurs because a field is incorrectly removed from the negotiate protocol response. When the field is removed, applications or services that use the field for SMB server communication encounter an authentication failure. Hotfix information
