SUPPORT SOLUTION:
In Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007, the status reports for some managed computers display the following symptoms: The computer’s Update Status is displayed as Unknown.
When you view the computer’s properties, most of the hardware inventory attributes, such as Operating System, Hard Disk, Manufacturer, and Memory are listed as Unknown. Or, the attribute is blank. The installed software list for the computer shows no information.
Event Viewer displays the following Error event: Event ID: 13022: Many managed computers are not reporting their inventory. # have been detected so far.
.This issue occurs when one of the following conditions is true:The managed computer’s Updates agent is configured incorrectly. The managed computer’s Updates agent cannot send status information back to the System Center Essentials 2007 server..To resolve this issue, use one or more of the following methods..Method 1: Make sure that the Group Policy settings are in effect
