This article describes the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 issues that are fixed in the PowerPoint 2003 hotfix package. .Issues that this hotfix package fixes

When you open presentations that contain layouts with background images in PowerPoint 2003, an error may occur. When the error occurs, you receive a message that states that some contents (text, images, or objects) have corrupted. You can determine what content has been lost by viewing the layout, but not by viewing the slide content. Items that were removed will display a blank box or a box that contains “cleansed.” .Hotfix information

available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the
problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems
that are experiencing the problems described in this article. This hotfix might
receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this
problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains
this hotfix. If the hotfix is available for download, there is a

the files that you must have to correct the issues that are listed in this

package to install the hotfix package. The dates and the times for these files
