When you try to install any one of the programs listed in
the “Applies To” section of this article on a Microsoft Windows XP-based
computer, you may receive the following error messages:Unable to make calendar holiday registry entriesUnable to register tasks, canceling the install
wizard..This issue may occur if you do not have permission to modify
one or more entries in the registry. Microsoft Picture It! is one of several
programs that is designed to be integrated with Microsoft Works. If you do not
have Microsoft Works, Picture It! installs the shared component Works Calendar , and then registers the component..Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry
Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.To
resolve this issue, you must set the installing user profile to have Full
Control permissions on all appropriate Works Registry Keys.Note It is a good idea to back up the registry before you edit it. .Step 1: Start Windows XP in Safe Mode

to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing

type msconfig in the Open box, and then
click OK. On the General tab, click Normal
Startup, and then click OK. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click
Restart..Step 3: Stop the Works Calendars Reminder process
