When you try to convert a Microsoft Money 2002 data file to a Microsoft Money 2006 data file, you receive an error message..This issue occurs because of the bank names that are associated with the accounts..Method 1

To work around this issue, use the trial edition of Microsoft Money 2004 to convert the data file. Then, convert the Money 2004 data file to a Money 2006 data file. To do this, follow these steps:

Uninstall Money 2006.Change the computer system date to December 31, 2004.Download the trial edition of Money 2004.
