3,
After you install this update, you may receive the
following error message on a computer that is running Communications Server
2007 “IM Conferencing” or “Telephony Conferencing” server roles:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion.For the IM Conferencing service (Rtcimmcu):If you receive this error message after you install the
update, create the Immcusvc.exe.config file. To do this, follow these steps:
Start Notepad. Paste (or type) the following text into Notepad: <configuration>
<runtime>
<generatePublisherEvidence enabled=”false”/>
</runtime>
</configuration> On the File menu, click
Save, and then name the file
Immcusvc.exe.config. Save the file in the same location as the Immcusvc.exe file. By
default, this is in the following location: %Program Files%\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007\Server\IM ConferencingStart the Services.msc process, and then start the Office Communications
Server IM Conferencing service. By using the Immcusvc.exe.config configuration
file, the Authenticode signature verification process is bypassed for
the Immcusvc.exe file and for all dependent binaries. Additionally, the IM Conferencing service
now starts in a timely manner. For the Telephony Conferencing service (Rtcacpmcu):If you receive this error message after you install the
update, create the Acpmcusvc.exe.config file. To do this, follow these steps:
Start Notepad. Paste (or type) the following text into Notepad: <configuration>
<runtime>
<generatePublisherEvidence enabled=”false”/>
</runtime>
</configuration> On the File menu, click
Save, and then name the file
Acpmcusvc.exe.config. Save the file in the same location as the Immcusvc.exe. By
default, this is the following location: %Program Files%\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007\Server\ Telephony ConferencingStart the Services.msc process, and then start the Office Communications
Server Telephony Conferencing service. By using the Acpmcusvc.exe.config
configuration file, the Authenticode signature verification process is bypassed
for the Acpmcusvc.exe file and for all dependent binaries. Additionally, the Telephony Conferencing
service now starts in a timely manner. Note This workaround works only with the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Service Pack 1 (SP1) and later versions. Additionally, use this workaround only
if you receive error 1053 after you apply the update on the server.
