BizTalk Server 2006: FIX: Unused subscription predicates are not purged from the NotEqualsPredicates table of the BizTalkMsgBoxDB database in BizTalk Server 2006 and in BizTalk 2006 R2

By TechSupport

SUPPORT PROBLEM: FIX: Unused subscription predicates are not purged from the NotEqualsPredicates table of the BizTalkMsgBoxDB database in BizTalk Server 2006 and in BizTalk 2006 R2

Applications Supported:

COPYRIGHT NOTICE: (c) 2007 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

SUPPORT SOLUTION:
In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 and in Microsoft BizTalk 2006 R2, the PurgeSubscriptionsJob_BizTalkMsgBoxDB SQL Server Agent job runs to clear unused subscription predicates from the BizTalkMsgBoxDb database. However, the NotEqualsPredicates table of the BizTalkMsgBoxDB database is never cleared. Therefore, after BizTalk Server runs for some time, the NotEqualsPredicates table grows very large.Note Subscription predicates are comparison statements that are created when you create a subscription..This problem occurs because of a problem in the stored procedure for the PurgeSubscriptionsJob_BizTalkMsgBoxDb SQL Server Agent job..After you apply this hotfix, this problem does not occur for new created entries in the NotEqualsPredicates table. However, it does not clear existing unused subscription predicates in the NotEqualsPredicates table. You might need to contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to help clear the old entries.
