You want to remove old data, such as Notes and Histories, from your ACT! database.
Follow these instructions to selectively remove old data from your ACT! database:Note: Images in your version of ACT! may differ slightly from the ones used in this Answer. Click the Tools menu, point to Database Maintenance, and then click Lock/Unlock Database.Note: the title bar will display (Locked) when the database is locked.Click the Tools menu, point to Database Maintenance, and then click Remove Old Data. The following Remove Old Data dialog box appears:Enable the check box beside each information-type that you would like to clean-up.Select the desired older than time-period for each item, and then click OK. The following Remove Old Data message appears:Click Yes. The following ACT! message appears when the purge of data is complete.Click Yes to proceed with a reindex of the database. The following ACT! message appears when the reindex is complete.Click OK to complete the process.Click the Tools menu again, point to Database Maintenance, and then unlock the database by clicking Lock/Unlock Database.
