You are writing a letter or editing a document template in ACT! and using Microsoft Word as your default Word Processor. When you attempt to save the document or template, one of the following messages appears: “You cannot close Microsoft Word because a dialog is active” or “Word cannot save this file because it is already open elsewhere” If you open the file directly in Word, you are able to save the file.
This error can be caused by the Norton AntiVirus Microsoft Office Plug-in component. For information about the plug-in and how to disable it, please see the following Symantec Web document:
