You create a template in the ACT! Word Processor for use in the Mail Merge process. When creating your the Mail Merge template, you use formatting options such as bold, italics or underline and find that the formatting is not retained when the Mail Merge is processed.
This is a known issue. You may be able to work around this issue by creating the template in Microsoft Word.

If you have Microsoft Word, 2000 - 2003 installed, you can change to this Word Processor by clicking the Tools menu, and then clicking Preferences. The option to change to a different Word Processor can be found under the Communication tab. For more information, please refer to the following Knowledge Base document:
