You click Phone Contact to invoke the ACT! Dialer and the following error messages appear: "Value does not fall within the expected range." followed by "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Act.UI.TAPI.TapiManager.CommandHandler(String commandId)"
This error message can appear if you have just created, and not yet saved, the Contact record that you are attempting to dial. You must save the Contact information first in one of the following ways.

Click the Save icon from the Toolbar
Click the arrow for next arrow to return to the new contact
Press Ctrl-S
