You are at the Main database and viewing the Synchronization Panel. You have disabled the synchronization in a database and are now attempting to remove this database reference Line from the Manage Databases List when you receive the following error: "Could not delete sync database because there is sync data still referenced to this database."
ACT! is working as designed.
A Remote database cannot be deleted from the Synchronization Setup dialog box unless synchronization has been disabled and the last expiration date for that Remote database has passed. In addition, if the Remote database you are attempting to delete is sharing a Sync Set with a different remote database, you will not be able to delete that Remote database from the Synchronization Setup dialog box. Use the following steps to disable and delete a Remote database from the Publisher database.
Open the Publisher database.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Synchronization Panel. The Synchronization - Select a Synchronize Task panel appears.
Click Manage Databases from the User Tasks section. The Synchronization - Select a Database dialog box appears:
Click the database you would like to disable synchronization for, and then click Disable Sync from the Admin Tasks section. The following ACT! warning appears:
Click Yes to disable synchronization. The following ACT! informational message appears:
Click No to continue. Click the database you would like to delete.
Click Delete Database from the Admin Tasks section. The database is deleted from the list.
You may not remove the Sync Set associated with this Remote database.
