After you apply this update, you will see two identical entries of KB979440 in Installed Updates. This is expected behavior because this update contains two .msp files. Therefore, you have two entries for this update in Installed Updates. .Known issues about this security update

Windows Update returns error code 646 or 0×80070646This issue occurs because of a corrupted system environment variable or failed privilege escalation. You may experience this issue when Office Update fails to install from Microsoft Update. You may also experience this issue when a manual installation that uses the /quiet setup switch and the /passive setup switch fails.
